Stencils & Embossing Paste
Stencils are a bit like stamps in that they allow you to take a beautiful design and make it your own depending on how you use the stencil. They are highly versatile and with the addition of embossing paste the possibilities are great. Some of the main techniques with stencils include:
- Dry embossing with a stylus and lightbox to create a raised image.
- Tracing designs with pens or pencils.
- Using the stencil as a mask and applying inks, chalks, powders, paints etc with sponges, daubers and brushes.
- Embossing with paste to create quick dimensional effects.
- Applying additional materials such as glitters with embossing pastes.
- Used in conjunction with double sided sheets to create effects with glitters and powders.
