Rubber Stamping


Rubber stamping is an incredibly versatile craft. With a single stamp you can create many different effects and as long as you look after your stamps they will last for years to come. The most common techniques used with rubber stamps include:

  • Straight stamping with coloured pigment or dye inks.
  • Creating outlines to be coloured with pens, pencils, chalks, glitters etc.
  • Stamping and heat embossing the design with embossing powders.
  • Creating watermark effects.
  • Making pearlescent effects with mica powders
  • Creating impressions into modelling materials, waxes, embossed surfaces etc
  • Fake watercolour effects using pigment inks and water.

There are always new products and techniques appearing that can be combined with rubber stamps for brilliant effects.
